# User: Splitting a Transaction

**Transaction splitting is a useful feature that allows you to divide a single expense into multiple parts. This is especially helpful for distributing shared costs among different departments or budget categories.**

1. Go to **My Cards**.
2. Select the **card** you want to split transactions from.
3. Choose the transaction you want to split
4. Select split transaction icon
5. Enter the split details.
6. Save.
